The Brewery Britomart - side entrance

The Brewery Britomart is named for the Britomart Hotel, a landmark in Auckland's history. The former Fort Britomart used to be within a stone's throw from our location and at the time the building was constructed in 1876 it sat on the waterfront of Auckland.

Originally opened as the Britomart Hotel, The Brewery Britomart is one of the oldest buildings in Auckland that still houses the same trade it was originally built for, i.e. a hospitality business.

The Brewery Britomart is housed in a heritage building. We are very proud of the fact that we were able not only able to maintain but also to highlight certain elements of the building that make it unique, such as one of the largest pressed tin ceilings in the country.
